Gabriella Jumwa is a Kenyan doodle artist, painter, and character designer whose work reimagines culture through playful yet deeply symbolic forms. Inspired by traditional heritage, everyday life, and speculative futures, her doodles and illustrations act as living archives bridging memory, fashion, and imagination.

A graduate of Anthropology from Pwani University, Gabriella brings a researcher’s eye into her practice, exploring how past traditions can be transformed into new visual languages and future fashions. Beyond her illustrative work, she directs stop-motion animation short films, weaving tactile storytelling with her passion for culture and innovation.
